Privacy policy
Last updated October 16, 2026
This policy explains what personal data HelloRows handles, why, and which companies handle it on its behalf. It covers this website, hellorows.com, and email you send to an address at hellorows.com.
Who is responsible
HelloRows is run by Adam Martiník, Czech Republic, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to info@hellorows.com about anything in this policy.
When you visit hellorows.com
The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Its fonts and images are served from hellorows.com itself, so showing a page makes your browser contact no other company.
To send you a page, the server receives what every browser sends with a request: your IP address, your browser's user agent, the address of the page and the time. The server runs at Railway in its EU West region (Amsterdam). Railway's logs of requests to the server, which can include your IP address and user agent, are kept for up to 90 days in the United States.
Requests to www.hellorows.com reach Cloudflare, which redirects them to hellorows.com and so sees your IP address and the page you asked for.
The legal basis is HelloRows' legitimate interest in running the website and keeping it secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you email HelloRows
Email to any address at hellorows.com passes through Cloudflare Email Routing and arrives in a Gmail mailbox, where Adam reads and answers it. HelloRows uses your address and your message only to answer you and, if you asked to join the beta, to send you the install steps when a beta spot opens. A beta request is deleted when the closed beta ends; other messages are deleted 12 months after the last one in the conversation, or sooner if you ask.
For a beta request, the legal basis is taking the steps you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For answering other questions and keeping the conversation, it is HelloRows' legitimate interest in answering the people who write to it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Companies involved
- Railway Corporation, United States: hosts the website for HelloRows. The server for hellorows.com is in the EU; its request logs are kept in the United States.
- Cloudflare, Inc., United States: runs the domain's DNS, the redirect from www.hellorows.com and the forwarding of email sent to hellorows.com for HelloRows.
- Google Ireland Limited, Ireland: provides the Gmail mailbox where email to hellorows.com is stored and read.
Where your data goes to the United States, the transfer relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for companies certified under it, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Write to info@hellorows.com for a copy of the clauses.
Google user data
The HelloRows add-on for Google Sheets is in a closed beta whose first spots open once the add-on is ready, so nobody can install it yet. Before anyone can, this section will list each kind of Google user data the add-on accesses, what it uses it for, where it is kept and for how long.
When the add-on checks which plan you are on, it sends hellorows.com a sign-in token from Google that carries your Google account's email address. It never sends hellorows.com your rows or the email you write: the email is saved inside your spreadsheet.
The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. HelloRows will not sell Google user data, will not use it for advertising, will not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and will let no one read it unless you agree, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, for its correction or deletion, for its processing to be restricted and for a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to info@hellorows.com. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).
